1996: Patersons was founded in May of this year.
1999: Patersons begins development of the world’s first true integrated SaaS-based global payroll solution resolving the largest problem faced by growing global organizations: the lack of one common global payroll platform for processing payroll.
1999: Patersons launches payroll services for the first country in the global solution, the UK.
2001: Patersons launches its CloudPay application (known as Logon2 at the time).
2002: Patersons first customer goes live on CloudPay application.
2003: Patersons increases customer base across Europe as expansion continues.
2004: Patersons continues to add new payroll functionality in CloudPay.
2005: Patersons continues development of CloudPay application introducing a number of new feature upgrades including a new global payroll processing engine, holiday accruals, and the deployment of a new workflow engine.
2006: Patersons enter into a partner agreement with IBM to serve joint customers.
2007: Patersons opens international offices in Paris, France, Raleigh, North Carolina, U.S.A and Singapore. This represented a significant step in the company’s global expansion program in support of multi-national customers.
2008: Leading International PLM Software provider, Siemens PLM chooses Patersons for New EMEA-Wide Payroll for its 1700 staff in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
2008: Patersons releases product enhancements and upgrades to its CloudPay suite of products including new Employee Self Service functionality.
2008: Patersons opens its Shanghai China office, taking full advantage of the growing Chinese market and positive economic growth in the region.
2008: Patersons announces the general availability of full U.S. payroll functionality, one year after entering the U.S market.
2008: Patersons launches details of New Treasury Management and International Payroll Workflow capabilities enhancing user experience and system functionality.
2008: Patersons reaches 200 payroll provider partners across 160 countries.
2008: Patersons successfully secures $30Million in Series A Funding.
2009: Patersons is awarded the ISO27001 accreditation.
2009: Patersons secures its biggest and most significant customer to date, to provide global payroll services to over 10,000 employees in 70 countries, validating its place as the leading provider of integrated global payroll.
2010: Patersons establishes a new partnership with leading strategic business consulting and management advisory practice, Jeitosa Group International.
2010: Patersons honored at the Fast Growth Business Awards 2010. They won T-Mobile Fast Growth Business of the Year and International Business of the Year.
2010: Patersons becomes the first global payroll vendor to add ISO27001 Type11 Security Standard to its compliance accreditation portfolio. Combined with Patersons SAS-70 Type-11 accreditation, both of these standards strongly enforce Patersons’ level of commitment the company places upon the security and care of its customer’s data and property.
2010: Patersons is named a Cool Vendor by leading analyst firm, Gartner.
2010: Patersons reaches its 15th country supported within CloudPay global payroll engine.
2011: Patersons signs partnerships with Workday, the leading SaaS HRMS vendor, and SuccessFactors, the leading provider of cloud-based Business Execution Software solutions.
2011:Patersons announces new product name, CloudPay. The new platform name really focuses on our proven strengths: cloud-based global payroll delivery, with Patersons’ commitment to deliver solutions that facilitate compliance and are scalable as businesses expand.
2011: Patersons raises $6.45M in mezzanine funding led by Rho Ventures and included further investment from multiple inside investors and management team members.
2011: Patersons announces compliance with SSAE 16 and ISAE 3402 Standards, validating the company’s commitment to providing customers with streamlined processes, improved visibility, and secure and accurate global payroll services.
